Bioinspired Structure of Armadillo Armor decided to give it a shot and made a single hexagon tile version, then another 8 layered laminated version cress crossed with each other. Idea came from reading "Fabrication and Mechanics of Bioinspired with Dense Architectures: Current Status and Future Perspectives"
