Mount and cable manage your TP-Link network switch.
Basic network switches are great to wire up your computers, TVs, speakers, servers, and other devices for a stable network connection. I have multiple switches scattered across my house. However, an unmounted switch never stays in place due to the number of cables coming out of it.
Mount your switch to the wall or the top of your shelf. The included cable management makes the whole thing neater and nicer to work with.
I used this model to mount my switch in the top of my TV cabinet. The included cable management means that the space beneath the switch is free to store other things.
Build instructions
- Print
I used PLA. No special settings required. Whatever you use, keep in mind that the bracket needs to be a bit flexible for the nubs to be placed in the keyholes. - Place the print around the network switch. This will require a bit of bending.
- Screw in place.
Parameterized model
This is a fully parameterized OpenSCAD model. This means you can change the model to suit many different types of switches. It also allows you to use this model with different screws and with or without the keyhole nubs.
Open online model editor in your browser
Basic editor instructions:
- Open the model in the model editor by clicking the link above
- Change the model parameters
- In the bottom left, click the “Render” button
- In the bottom left, click the “Download STL” button
