Small, portable RAK19003 case with room for RAK12500 GPS module and external LoRa antenna.
Fits a 1500mAh lipo battery (50 x 35 x 8mm) such as this one. Use some double sided tape if you don't want the battery to move inside. Case is designed so that there is little risk of puncturing the battery if it happens to swell.
Switch is a miniature SPDT from Pololu.
The GPS antenna supplied with the RAK12500 is a larger size than what this case is designed for. You need to source a 20 x 6 x 6 mm antenna.
Belt clip holes are 12 mm spacing and require 2x M3x6 screws and 2x nyloc M3 nuts.
Bottom is affixed using 2x M2x8 countersunk screws, threaded into the cover.
Screws to attach the PCB to the frame are supplied with the RAK19003.
There are three holes for the indicator LEDs that can fit a short piece of translucent 1.75 mm filament to further reduce the risk of water ingress.
I printed mine with fuzzy skin and multi color for the recesses on the cover. No supports needed.
Bottom cap/lid should be printed in FLEX. If you are having issues with the thin attachment, tweak minimum layer times or add another object to print at the same time.
Fit is pretty tight so be careful when you insert the frame with everything attached into the case. I found it easier to insert if I squeezed the front and back of the case at the same time.
