Fully 3D-Printable NAS Case (8× SAS/SATA, Mini-ITX)
A fully 3D-printable NAS case designed for Mini-ITX motherboards, supporting up to 8 SAS/SATA drives via a backplane, with the option to install 4 additional SATA drives inside the case.
This project is intended for home labs and semi-professional NAS builds, offering good airflow, compact size, and a fully modular design. All parts are printable on a standard FDM printer without supports.

Drive form factor depends on the installed caddies.
LED Light Guide
For proper light transmission, a piece of transparent filament must be inserted into the drive caddy to act as a light guide.
I used SBS plastic rod, as it transmits light significantly better along its length compared to PLA, PETG, or ABS.
Printing Recommendations:
- Material: PETG
- Infill pattern: Gyroid
Print settings:
- Base / main frame: 4 perimeters, 20% infill
- All other parts: 3 perimeters, 15% infill
