New to hobby and having so much fun. This is my entry for the Office Accessories contest, a Cubicle Periscope.

It has been over ten years since I was around cubicles, but I recall having to pop head up to see what was going on all the time. The Cubicle Periscope solves this! 

My original idea was to do a phone holder periscope with mirrors that hangs on the cubicle. I found that limited to one direction and problematic with multiple phones. I then settled on a 360 view version using a $12 USB camera from Amazon and a 608 bearing.

All my test prints are default Cura settings at .2mm with .4mm nozzle. No supports. I only added a Brim for the knob print. Assembly is all press fit for me.

• Insert 608 bearing into base.
• Insert rod from top into bearing.
• Press on the knurled knob to end of rod.

Remove the base from the camera by peeling back the rubber pad and removing the screw. This can always be replaced later if you want to use the camera normally.

• With the top upside down, press camera fully into base (make sure camera is upside down!).
• Run USB cable through slot in base and set top on hex post.
• Plug into PC and open Windows Camera app!

The size of the top allows it to be used a a small platform if the object is not heavy. Not having a cubicle available to me, I used a 2 inch cubicle wall measurement for base based on internet information. Ideally the base would be adjustable. I did not find out about the contest until a few days after it started and just did not have the time. 

The design is not as optimized or pretty as it could be due to time constraints while learning. I think it needs better cable management and maybe an index wheel with dot\socket to sort of lock it in place better. The camera board could easily be removed to make a smaller compact version and even add a vertical lift.
