I made this small winch to automate my curtain project, but I found this little guy quite interesting in other aspects too, so I wanted to share it with everyone. So far, I've tested it with a 24V motor, which provided about 20N of force, but it didn't seem very reliable. I'm currently using a pair of 100RPM, 12VDC motors, which can withstand about 10N of pull, and they seem to be performing very well.
