This is a now highly modified, specialized variant of the Slimbox M by Jfedor which has then been chopped up even further to make it not only smaller, but to use keyboard style keycaps, rather than arcade buttons. The goal was to have a button-rich environment for general emulation, with a focus on fighting gams such as the Street Fighter series, Darkstalkers, and similar games. This will also work well for simple 2d games such as SNES titles or platformers that do not require analog sticks. All in a 170x98mm footprint!

Intent is to be something compact, that covers all the bases. Suggestions or requests welcome.

I have successfully printed and completed the two and four button variant with my Flashforge adventurer 5M using Orcaslicer. Settings used are as follows-
- 0.4mm nozzle.
- 0.2mm layer height.
- Example shown is printed on a textured PEI plate, in 3dHOJOR brand “Bone White” PLA, which happens to be my favorite filament.
-  Print without supports, top facing down on the print bed.

This design will accept any keyswitch that fits the footprint for a Cherry MX plate-mounted keyswitch, with a ton of compatibility for similar equivalent switches- both full size and low-profile should fit well. The intent is to hand wire the switches to the MCU, and how yu do this is up to you. I personally like to wire from the MCU directly to hotswap sockets, for ease of repair or tinkering later. i personally like the Choc V2 style low profile switches here, with a nice linear actuation.

My intended use is to have the top row of buttons set up as "LT, Select, Home, Start, RT" and configured for PC use as an Xinput compatible device. Of course this is all arbitrary and can be adjusted in the firmware of the GP2040-CE web configurator to match your use case.

Assembly:
- Original project calls for eight 3x10mm wood screws- I could not source these locally here in California. However- #4, 3/8" flathead wood screws fit and work just as well and were available at my local Ace Hardware and Home Depot stores.
- Knot the USB cable or use a cable tie to prevent it from pulling out. Alternatively hot glue may be used as a semi-non-permanent way to keep it in place. 
- Intended use is with the GP2040-CE firmware, and a Waveshare RP2040-Zero is perfect.
