This is a DSCS model based on paper diagrams and pictures of the spacecraft.
The model requires some painting to distinguish some features (GDA, tx/rx antenna). I am not an artist and was able to get by with some masking with painters tape, careful application of paint with a small brush, and careful removal of mistakes with rubbing alc or a razor. The reflectors were added by applying ~ 1.1 cm squares of foil tape to the inset portions of the body.
I printed the model on a Prusa i3MK2 and did some mild post-processing with some small circular files to make sure the dowel rotated with the right amount of friction. I also used sandpaper to prep surfaces for gluing before final application.
All components of this model are tuned slightly to accommodates a 5mm steel dowel. You may need to adjust the scale or re-do the hole to tune the model to your prints.
Outside of the filament you will need:
White Paint
5 mm dowel (I used a pack of 150 mm x 5 mm steel rods from amazon and cut them down with a dremel) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZNS27M/
