Every time I wanted to insert new filament the PFTE tube above the runout sensor came loose. I almost went crazy. This mount fits on the PFTE clip screw holder dingsie that comes with the Creality 3D Capricorn tubes, which have a 10mm thread.
I can highly recommend the Creality 3D Capricorn tube.
Print this part with the thread facing upwards, as finely as possible because of the thread and with support structures. It is designed so that the PFTE tube should be pushed all the way through and ends directly at the runout sensor, without a gap. Works great for me.
I printed with:
- 0.12mm layer
- 100% infill
- thread facing upwards,
- PLA+ (I wanted to use ASA at first)
- Use the original screws from the old PFTE holder
I created the component in Fusion360 (free) and processed it in the Orca slicer. Printed on a K1.
