Summary:
This is an unboxing tool I designed, aimed at testing the application of compliant mechanisms in assembly.Note:This opening tool was designed for my left-handed friend, so it's easier for left-handers to use. Right-handers can also use it, but it might be a bit more challenging for them.

Features:

• Except for the blade itself, it's completely 3D-printed.
• An ergonomically designed product

Required parts:

• All three printing components
• Standard box-opening knife blades, which are available at most retailers

Assembly:

• Put the blade of the opening knife into the blade holder
• Put the bracket into the A side, and make the blade bracket's latch go through the notch on the A side

• Slide the two parts together to the B side, and press the triangular "button" on the back to help the A side slide to the back until the two parts click into place

   

Operation method:

Open it.

• Move the locking rod to the right
• Push the slider forward to expose the blade
• The locking rod will snap into place

Close it.

• Move the locking rod to the right
• Slide the blade back into the frame using the slider
