This is a panel for a Game Boy Macro/GBA Lite modification, inspired by pixel art design, suitable for those who want to use plastic materials. It was designed from scratch, except for the back, which is a Makho part. Some screw holes and holes are slightly larger than the original ones. The screen frame has also been enlarged and centered. I encountered problems with the original frame.
There are three main design levels in this part. The first is the groove bottom of the select and start buttons, the second is the groove bottom of the directional keys and A/B buttons, which is the part of the upper and lower panel cutouts, and the third is the top layer.
The reason for adopting this design is that I wanted a smooth surface, but the ironing process would leave a small amount of material buildup on the edges of the grooves. With this design, you can create a complete ironing interlayer and avoid this problem, requiring just two layers of ironing material. Anyway, you can also print it as usual, and apart from the issues listed above, there won't be any other problems. These can be resolved with a light sanding process.
There's only enough space on the panel for an LCD screen, so the touchscreen should be removed.
There are two versions of the panel, one complete and one separate. I made the separate version because the complete version should be printed face up, because if you print it face down, there's no space for supports, and the surface of the visible part won't look good. The problem is that the electronic panel is a large flat part with many screw pillars on it, so it's hard to remove the supports. I couldn't get a really flat frame on the screen border, even with the support interface. But people who use soluble supports will finish the entire model perfectly.
If you are using separate models, just use non-instant glue to stick them together, so that you have time to align the two parts.
There is also a thin area covering the LED area. If an opaque material is used, the light from the LED can be slightly seen through it.
