This is a special buckle for rope which simplifies tying and untying loads when compared to a knot.  Its main advantages are the ease of positioning, the ability to use it repeatedly, and ascetic appeal.

There are actually two methods to tie this rope buckle.  One method holds lower tension in the rope, but looks nice and is easier to undo later.  The other method produces much higher tension, but without the benefits of the other method.  I have included a pdf with detailed instructions of how to use it in both the low and high tension configuration.

This accepts up to a 10mm diameter rope
