This is a remix of AMS Mini spool lock of Wisnia. The clips (spool locks) are also available from other makers. The clips are probably the most simple spool locks which take only a minimum amount of filament to print. You will need 3 for every 

The fit is improved and it has grip rings which provide more grip when removing a clip. 

OpenSCAD

Instead of the 2021.1 version use the Development Snapshot of OpenSCAD. It is the latest version of OpenSCAD and renders blistering fast. At the Download page of OpenSCAD scroll down to "Development Snapshots" (https://openscad.org/downloads.html#snapshots). After installation, OpenSCAD (Nightly) , verify the 3d Rendering Backend is set to Manifold, for extreme fast rendering, see menu Edit -> Preferences -> tab Advanced -> 3D Rendeing -> Backend = Manifold (new/fast) .

The OpenSCAD file allows you to change whatever you want to change. With the OpenSCAD customizer alone change the number of grip rings and the full or half  ‘hat’ (triangle) height. Set the height to 0.0 for no hat.

Printing

No Brim and no support is needed.
