I wanted to add a wifi remote to a manual switch fan.  The original base did not accomodate the module.  So created a base that would.  Perhaps could have shoved it above the fixture, but there was a baffle I did not want to remove and did not seem like the right thing to do.  Can't say if it will work for you, but here it is.
