Playing with this model should help make the concept of motion ratio more intuitive, and get you to think about practical considerations like range of motion and spring rates.

You can mount the suspension in different angles (0-90), and in different points on the lower “wishbone” (1,1/2,1/5 ratios between the distance of the suspension mounting point, and the overall length of the wishbone).

If you want to physically feel the different effective spring rate, the suspension can fit a standard click pen’s spring (see pics & video)

This model is dual-colour, but requires only 2 switches so no need for a multi-colour printer. Works best with layer height of about 0.2mm or less.
