A simple means of mounting a standard HEPA filter inside a CNC cabinet to help eliminate dust and smoke.  The original design used a simple fan to draw smoke and dust thru the filter to help reduce in cabinet smoke and dust.

This design uses a vacuum to remove smoke and dust via an external vacuum source.

I used a standard HEPA filter (DXVC6914 HEPA High Efficiency Cartridge Filter Fit for Dewalt Regular 6-16 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaners $23.99) and an inexpensive small shop vacuum. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D646L23?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title).  I chose this based on size and price, it is kind of loud.  Next time around I might look into a pet grooming vacuum based on DB.

I have included a Dyson hose adapter just in case you decide to go in that direction.  The Dyson adapter is designed as a thru bulkhead so that it can be attached to the outside of the enclosure while it should be a slip fit for the the top of the filter mount.

The filter mount is designed in two pieces so that it can be printed on a Anycubic Photon 6k printer.  I assembled mine by using RTV to attach the two halves of the filter top to the filter. I left 4 holes thru the top that should allow you to use 4 small self tapping screws to screw into the top of the filter.

In case you have already printed out the previous filter,  I created a drop on adapter to allow a simple means of creating a dual use system.
