I had some terrible knockoff Suzo Happ style arcade buttons that were not actuating correctly when pressed at the edge. I decided to convert them to use switches form mechanical keyboard.

WARNING: not all switches will fit! Some are slightly too wide and would need to have their corners filed down. For example Gateron switches don't fit inside the arcade button shell but Akko switches fit fine without modification. Not sure about compatibility regarding the travel distance and activation point of different switches. Let me know if it doesn't work with some models. I tested only Akko Lavender Purple, Creamy Blue and some Jerrzi branded Blue clicky switches.

Assembly:

1. Pull apart the arcade button. You won't need the spring inside.

2. Put the top printed part inside the arcade button with the four small holes facing outwards as seen in the first picture. (the holes are there so you can pull the part out with pliers if needed)

3. Put Cherry MX switch inside the bottom printed part.

4. Hold both parts together, squeeze them and push them inside the button shell. (2nd picture)
   
   The bottom part won't go all the way down! so you need to pull it down with some tool through the holes on the bottom of the button (as seen in the 3rd abd 4th picture). Use some kind of metal hook,  needle nose pliers or something like that.
