I've owned a MLCS Dovetail Jig (https://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/dovetailjig.html) for several years. Using these 3D printed jigs, the setup is a breeze. This set of jigs is for the 1/2" Box Joint Template. The box joint mode is the simplest for this jig system, but it's still frustratingly difficult to setup, although very easy to use once it's set up. What I do is put a sacrificial board under the jig template and cut the board to adjust my depth.

This jig is designed to act as the left/right adjustment. You place this jig into the fingers and into the cuts, it will provide you with the vertical fence to align your work piece. There is a second jig, I'm calling step, that is offset by 1/2 inch to be the fence for the next piece. There are left and right versions of the jig pairs, allowing you to cut the baseline from one side or both sides of the jig.

I printed this with regular settings on my Makerbot and sanded it down slightly to fit. Setup and cutting are super fast with this jig now. Of course, it does not allow you to make partial pins to start, if you want to do that, struggle with the edge guides. Also I made this 1/4 inch thick to give a large area for the fence and it's unlikely that my work piece will sit on top of the jig fence.
