I had built myself a KiwiCleaner watch parts cleaning machine. The KiwiCleaner design has a sealed PSU fitted to the underside of its baseboard. The PSU has a very short mains cable that cannot be safely replaced with a longer one. I opted to fit a C14 socket to the PSU and use a standard C14 plug with lead to power it. 

The issue that this model resolves, is that I did not like the C14 socket flapping about under the baseboard and wanted to securely surface mount it.

The result is a snap on cover that holds the C14 socket securely and has lugs to allow it to be surface mounted using two screws. The cover allows for an already wired C14 socket to be accommodated.

I used the following settings:

• PETG - This has the required flex to enable the snap-on feature to work
• 0.15 layer height
• 2 vertical perimeters, 6 on top and 4 on the bottom
• Supports enabled (for the fixing lugs)

There are many variations on C14 Sockets. To that end I have included detailed photos of the one I used which was bought from Amazon.
