Update (2/15/2026): The openSCAD customizer by johnnydev13 on Makerworld is more versatile than my implementation.

I wanted to wrap some opengrid lite panels around my desk edge. Couldn't find a solution that worked and this is what I came up with. Opengrid connectors at 90 degree angles that allow opengrid lite panels to be connected at 90 degrees from each other. Adds a small gap on each connector of about 0.5mm.

• Printing:

  • Print witht he chamfered edge facing down and the connectors pointing up at 45°. Prints quickly with no supports or brim.

  • Recommend at least 3 walls, otherwise the connectors don't print as cleanly.

  • 0.2mm height and 15% infill both worked fine. I haven't different layer heights or infills

• Asembly:

  • The longer the pieces are harder to snap in. I recommend using several smaller lengths when assembly is dificult. Use a length of at least 2. A length of 1 allows the frame to twist. Included this size to aid in remixing.

  • Where two opengrid lite panels meet, the connector doesn't quite fit, and serves no function. These can be cut cut with flush snips as needed.

  • Only including a single length piece. The longer pieces are just a pattern of that section at a 28 mm interval (opengrid spacing)
