My attempts at printing whole 5.56 snap caps failed, because the rim would get ripped off. This version just fills the casing to make it feed correctly. It runs the length of the cartridge to help get a consistent length.

If you don't have a tower wipe configured at the end of the print, the dummy might end up slightly long. This can be easily fixed with sandpaper. I have found they must be printed individually in order to minimize lateral forces that result in a loss of bed adhesion. I have had success using sequential printing to complete multiple in a single run. I used a center punch to secure the print inside the casing.
