Turning Demo:
A remake of a puzzle that I originally built around 2008. The original was built on top of an Eastsheen mini 2x2x2 with functional extensions that were cast copies of 3D printed masters. This new version is fully 3D printed and uses a custom internal 2x2x2 mechanism that is far more robust than the original Easheen minis. The extensions are occasionally catchy but overall I am very pleased with the result.

24x Extension or Extension looser (looser has a looser fitup (more clearance between mating parts). I recommend printing samples of both and seeing which one turns smoother without rattling or looseness)

3x Socket head cap screw, M3 x 0.5 mm Thread, 16 mm Long (McMaster 93070A073 or similar)
3x Compression Spring, 0.5" Long, 0.188" OD, 0.13" ID (McMaster 9657K268 or similar)
Assembly:
Recommend assembling the inner 2x2 first, breaking that in, tensioning it, and making sure the movement of that portion is smooth and stable. Then disassemble the 2x2, slide in the extension tips, and reassemble. Some breaking in and lubrication may be necessary to achieve smooth turning of the extensions.
