This is a remix of my other holder If you have already made my first one all you need to do to upgrade is print file ring2.1.stl This filament holder is for filament that is not on a spool. It is collapsible to insert into the middle of your filament then spring loaded to expand. It is made to fit the Original Makerbot filament holder. Look at my pictures to see how I use it on my bot.

Print all parts no raft or supports
low quality works good
3 Shells
10% infill

Pin 1 and Pin 2 should be 100% infill high quality
If you do not want to use Pin 1&2 print Center arm Bushing file
and fasten with 1 inch 6/32 hardware with washers on both sides.

After putting everything together use medium size rubber bands on clips on the sides of spool rings to add outward tension.

I used a second mount with an empty spool to feed the filament tube. My Adjustable spool is on top of my Makerbot clipped on with the original Makerbot holder. See Pictures for Details.
