As I so often do, I went looking for something I need on all the usual STL sites, but to my great surprise, I couldn't find replacement pads for my ChannelLock Soft Jaws (415SJ)... sure, I found soft jaw attachments for regular ChannelLocks, but not these inserts.
ChannelLock charges $10+, plus shipping for a box of 20 of these ($0.50 each or more depending on shipping). Printing them out or 95A TPU cost me $0.05 of plastic and 10 minutes of printer time each.
95A TPU has nearly the exact same stiffness as the original inserts, with only a little less surface friction grippyness. So far, they've been working great for me.
Print solid or nearly solid. I used 13 walls, but you might need as many as 14 if if your default line widths are a little thinner. I recommend thinner layer lines if your printer can handle it for better contour on the crescent and the lugs that friction fit it into the pliers. If you have trouble with the friction fit, consider scaling up the model in the y direction by 1%-3%.
