This clamp works best to secure doors that need to compress a thick foam gasket. Used on a diy printer enclosure.
The print orientation matters (see picture for suggestion of print orientation).
-Print the rotor on its edge (long axis of cylindrer parallel to the bed). This avoid having layer lines as possible breaking points.
-The stator needs to be printed flat (large hole axis perpendicular to bed). Be careful. The stator needs to be screwed in with care. Too much torque can split your model (layer lines).
-Use the C-clamp to hold the rotor at the desired length. Use M3 bolt to set the c-clamp. No need to apply massive torque.
The rotor should fit snug in the stator. Crank it a few time to help smooth the layer lines within the mating surfaces. No need to lubricate.
The model is comically large. Would most likely work with less plastic but feels very sturdy. Printed 0.28mm layer height with support and 20% infill.
