X-Axis Indicator Mount

I designed this X-Axis indicator mount for attaching a dial indicator directly to the aluminum extrusion on the gantry.

• Holds the indicator parallel to x axis. 
• Fits 8mm indicator shafts.
• Mounting uses 2 -M5x14mm bolts and insert t nuts.
• Indicator shaft fits very securely inside the clamp.
• The indicator clamp uses 1-M5x25mm socket head bolt.
• I used an M5 threaded insert for the nut on the indicator clamp, but you could use a regular nut (but would require a slightly longer bolt).

Printing

• If using the threaded insert nut, I would recommend printing with 100% infill. As you can see I used 50% infill and the insert nut distorted the outside of the clamp.
• Printed with PLA
• Printed vertically with no supports.
