Summary
A tap handle designed to be wide enough to display a round beer type/brand logo to customers as well as the bar back and still thin enough to sit side by side without having to be turned sideways where everyone has a hard time seeing it.
I have included a one piece version, that's a little difficult to get all the supports out of, and a half version where two can be glued together.
I have intentionally tried to break these in half without even a bend or crack. The two pictured have been in active use at a bar for a few weeks now with no signs of wear.

Tap handle insert
You will need Beer Tap Handle Inserts. I picked up a set for wood from Amazon.

For the one piece print, heat up the insert and screw it in carefully. A large flat head screwdriver is handy, but I didn't have one that large so I used a quarter and a pair of needle nose pliers because the quarter got hot. I also had to improvise then it came to heating the insert, I used a candle.
For the two part print, put down a thin layer of crazy glue, heat up the insert and put it in place on the first piece and then quickly squeeze the other piece on. It takes a bit of force to push the bottom completely together. I had to reheat the insert part way through so the bottom of my tap handle is a little burnt, but it can't be seen when the alignment nut is in place.
Display Magnets
Cut adhesive backed magnetic sheets to fit inside the recesses.
I have included a LibreOffice Draw file with the correct size for images. Print them on water proof paper, stick them to another magnetic sheet, and cut to fit.

I know they're odd sizes, but I shaped these to fit magnets our bar already had.
How I Designed This
Story Time:
I got curious one day if I could 3D print a tap handle. I pitched the idea to our brew master and he thought it was a great idea. He instantly suggested I print them thin enough so they don't have to turn them sideways. The restaurant manager (and primary bar back) said the same thing.
After I had it in place, turns out everyone likes it because it's much lighter than the wooden ones. I didn't think that would be an issue, but several people have said how much they appreciate it.
