As i got some 2,5 kg filament spools i needed a new holder as my original one could not stand this weight and it also is not good having this weight lasting on the printer frame.

Thats why i designed a spool holder which i can mount on the wall and fits all my spools.
(they all have a hole of 52mm diameter)

All you need is a 3D-Printer, some filament, some time, 2 ball bearings (i used old bearings from my inline skates 8mm inner diameter, 22mm outer, 7mm thick), 2 M3 8mm Screws, 1-2 M8 nuts, ~15 cm of M8 thread and 6 screws (4x40).

Cut a M8 thread to the length you prefer and screw it into the holder.rnrnInsert the two ball bearings into the top and bottom holder.rnSecure the ball bearing with the top cover and 2 M3-screws (<= 8mm)rnrnFix the mount to the wall using 6 screws.rnrnSlide the bottom holder on the thread of the mount, add filament spool, fix it with the top holder and one or two M8 nuts.rnrnready to print!
