This is a modification of a case for the USB cable tester by Treedix, modified to fit their HDMI cable tester.
For mine I left the top open in case I needed to use a multi-meter with the pin test pads, and instead put the clear plexi cover that comes with it to the bottom to prevent shorts if I set the tester on something conductive. To not press against the solder points on the bottom I spaced the plexi cover using a simple frame spacer that I made by printing the top 1mm or so of a different bottom case which left a square-ish opening in the middle where I could still read the writing on the bottom of the PCB. Small washers would also work. I connected everything together with M2 screws and heat-inserts, but you may be able to get by with larger screws directly screwed into the pastic.
If I was to suggest a further remix for this, I would say modify the frame around the battery to allow for removal of the battery without disassembling. If it bugs me replacing the battery I'll have a stab at it if no one else does first.
