Summary
The end cap is to keep the foam rollers in place.
This fits snugly into the metal pipe used as the leg support on a blow flex or similar workout bench. The inner diameter of the leg support tube is 14.8 mm.
The slits in the design allow for flexibility without need of a flexible filament.
