Abstract

I made a few minor modifications to PerryT's ingenious elliptical gear set. I particularly like the design where the gears are connected by eccentric pivots, so I had a bright idea to simply remove the central ring structure entirely. The effect is bound to be exceptionally cool.

Post-processing

When installing the pins, it is essential to ensure that the surface of the holes is smooth and to gently insert the pins into place.

It should be noted that the relative position of the teeth and the center hole on the left and right sides of the gear is not exactly the same. Therefore, in order to achieve precise meshing, you may need to rotate the gear on one side by 180 degrees. If this operation still confuses you, you may wish to refer to the schematic diagram below.
