Printing with PETG material provides moderate flexibility for the locking ball hinge during assembly.

Update: A design optimization has been uploaded - more buffer space has been added when the hinge is clipped, and a slight bevel has been added to the edge of the latch, allowing the locking mechanism to complete the closing action more smoothly and easily.
