The IKEA Nymane Ceiling Spotlight is a $25 ceiling or wall mountable fixture. It accommodates a recessed GU10 bulb and features a rotating base that also tilts at up to 90 degrees. This allows you to aim the light unhindered in any direction.

This item is a base that allows you to transform the light into a floor or tabletop up-light, while retaining the aiming flexibility (bring your own lamp cord and optional inline switch).

You still need to wire the fixture, only instead of hard-mounting it, you attach the silver bracket to this printed part using the screws included with the fixture that normally attach to the optional circular disc mounting plate. This base essentially replaces that plate. Then, thread a lamp cord up through the center hole and tie a knot to prevent it from pulling out. WIre your lamp cord to the fixture using small wire nuts or WAGO connectors and close it up. The legs are high enough to accommodate different directions for the exiting lamp cord.

I had some spare cords with inline switches leftover from LED lights I installed in my garage. These worked great since they already have a switch, but you could also just plug this in, or use a smart outlet to turn it on and off.
