Summary
Guitar string winder adapter for an electric screwdriver/drill/impact driver
It fits all my guitars with the exception of my Faith acoustic, I will need to make another one for this guitar as it has very thick top line on the tuners.
It is designed to take a 1/4" socket adapter with a ball bearing locking pin, It is a tight fit and I did this this on purpose.
Please understand that we all use different printers with different settings and they all vary in their ability to print accurately. I have attached two samples of the winder opening and the adapter section so that you can print and test these on your guitar without printing the whole thing. If it doesn’t fit, it is a simple case of widening the parts that don’t fit in Tinkercad or some other 3d design package, Or scale it up a bit until it does.
I’m sure I don’t need to warn you of the dangers of using a drill or impact driver to change your strings. You have to be very careful to use the slowest setting possible. You’ve been warned. But if you’re careful, this works very well and changing strings is breeze
