I wanted to use a USB LED to light the elegant “Lamp by flo” lamp shade. I designed a minimal base to guide a USB cable up into the Lamp for the LED to light it up.
The base is 40mm high, providing space for the USB cable to transition from horizontal to vertical, and is proportional to the height of the lamp shade. I have tried to design the print and the USB holder to not require supports. With the difficult matte PLA I used the overhang turned out rough (without supports) on the USB holder, but it's hidden inside the base and doesn't impact the integrity.
There is a slot on the bottom for the USB cable, then bend the cable 90 degrees up to the top holder. Depending on how stiff your USB cable is, you may want to warm or pre flex it to get the LED to sit nicely. Show that USB cable who's boss!
I created this in Tinkercad, so it's not the most finessed design. Feel free to leave feedback which I'll try to answer and address.

no supports, brims, rafts, etc
2 walls (3 won't hurt, just more time)
15-20 % in fill. (Try Adaptive Cubic, my go-to for light infill)
3 top and bottom layers is fine.
Enable adaptive layer height, if your slicer has it, to save some time.
