Printable thread
Special threads designed specifically for 3D printing:
Let's call it Pt for now.
Core concept:
The nominal outer diameter of the Pt6 thread is 6 mm after the printing is completed.
In order to ensure that the threads are fully compatible in the real world, the 3D model must be precisely adjusted to achieve a perfect fit after printing.
The pitch of each thread is 2.0 mm.
Under the standard layer height of 0.2 mm, at least 2.0 mm of printing margin should be reserved for each pitch, so that each pitch can cover a printing height of 10 layers.
The nominal diameter of the screws made by 3D printing is as follows:
The actual outer diameter of screw-6 is 5.9–6.0 mm
The size list is as follows:
| Thread type | Large diameter | Pitch | The path | Tapping the bottom hole |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| --- | ------- | ------- | ------- | ----------- |
| n6 | 6.2 | 5.6 | 5.0 | |
| N6 | 6.6 | 6.0 | 5.4 | 5.0 |
| --- | ------- | ------- | ------- | ----------- |
| n12 | 12.2 | 11.6 | ||
| N12 | 12.6 | 12.0 | 11.4 | |
