This is a nice lamp that i made as a gift twice so there's two versions uploaded. The stand is made from layered laser cut MDF fiber board. The base could also very well be 3d printet so i added stl files for that too. 

The bigger version has super bright white LED's and an led dimmer and a low profile power supply fitted at the bottom of the base. The smaller runs at 12V with an RGB controller. 

The design has holes on the side gives for a nice lighting effect and for ventilation so the LEDs won't overheat. It's all parametric so you can modify it to your hearts desire. 

The bigger version calls for a 250mm wide and 8mm thick acrylic and the smaller version calls for a 21 mm wide and 6 mm thick . The thick 8 mm acrylic was pre-frosted in a pattern of tiny hexagons because it came out of an old LCD monitor but you can do engraving on a piece of clear acrylic to get better contrast in the final engraved image.
