For this project, I used the Creality CR Scan Otter to 3D scan my young son's hands. I wanted to freeze a moment in time, the feeling of him offering a flower to his mum. The scan was turned into a realistic hand shaped planter, with the flower resting gently in his cupped palms as if he's giving it to her himself.
I printed the model using the Creality Ender 3 V3 KE with skin tone filament to give it a natural and lifelike finish straight off the printer, no painting needed., only the base. The detail from both the scan and the print really brought the emotion to life.
This piece is more than just a 3D print. It's a meaningful gift, a memory, and a perfect example of how 3D scanning and printing can be used to create something deeply personal.
