I wanted something simple and clean to mount some lightweight curtains. I didn't want exposed hardware, and I wanted to be able to use it in several different locations without introducing ugly plumbing-like bits. Took me W-A-Y too long, but this is what I finally determined I was looking for.

The small MOUNT pieces attach with two (each) pan-head screws,mostly because that's what I had on hand. Once those are attached to your surface of choice, the two MAIN pieces simply slip down onto them, hiding the hardware and leaving a small smooth cube to view. After these are in place, a 10mm, or 3/8" rod or dowel can be cut to length and simply drops into the top slot.

For best appearance, the MAIN pieces must print with the MOUNT slots facing the build plate. This gives the outward face of the completed and mounted piece the best finish quality.
