Summary
A thing to let your drone pick-up other things. The original goal was to catch a fish, hence the name, but I couldn't afford a powerful enough drone. This thing uses an Arduino NANO to control the servo and read the signals from the drone camera wires. Really simple. On my drone the yellow wire drops to low for different lengths of times depending on whether the picture or video button is pushed. You can read it on an analog pin of the Arduino and increment a counter while the pin is low. The reading will fall in two ranges for the two buttons. An option is to have the video signal turn on a laser for "targeting". This thing is released in to public domain as I am a strong believer in no-strings attached sharing of knowledge, but if you like it and takes your kids away from their phones and sparks their interest in engineering and electronics and you see them having fun with their drone, please consider a small donation. After printing...
You should have a collection of files to remove elephant feet and strands from head movement. The hole for the servo horn might need filing depending on your horn. I experienced variation in horn outside diameters between manufacturers.
