This game was taken from the book ‘Algorithms’ by Jeff Ericson, which shows how the game is played, and the mathematics behind the game.
There are two players in this game, one has their three pieces start in the top border and move down, while the other starts in the left border and moves right. The players alternate turns. For each of the players turns (player one can be decided randomly or by other means), they can either move one of their pieces one square forward, or jump over an opponents piece, moving two squares. You cannot jump over two or more pieces. If there are no legal moves, the player passes the turn. The player to get all of their pieces of the other edge of the board wins.
