This is a Power Pack and Illuminator Shield for the Planetary Explorer figure! (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5765846) The Power Pack is designed to hold a CR-927 3V battery, and the front Illuminator Shield holds a 5 mm diameter LED of your choice of color. In the first set of pictures I used a white LED, where you can see Planetary Explorer exploring some unknown abandoned spaceship.
The upper part of the shield is intended to protect the neck of the explorer, whereas the middle and bottom parts protect the vital organs.
The Power Pack can hold a 6 mm diameter momentary switch or no switch at all if he requires power all the time! In the pictures I used some wires with some dupont connectors to connect the front to back, but you could use whatever you want. The dupont connectors have the advantage of being easy to connect and disconnect. The intention is that the same power pack may work with other front attachments in the future...
The Illuminator Shield and Power Pack can be wired directly to each other, you can include a resistor if you want to limit the current but may not really be necessary with the CR-927 battery as it does not output that much current anyway. Different LEDs may have different current requirements.
Added a few pictures showing a white shield with a blue LED and the momentary switch on the back shield.

For the front shield, an LED fits tightly into front hole. For the back shield, there is room to slide in a wire in front and in back of the battery, making a connection to the positive and negative sides of the battery.
After that you need to connect the positive wire from the battery to the positive terminal of the LED, and the negative to the negative. You'll know you did it right when the LED lights up! In the pictures I used red wires for positive and black for negative.
