A custom handle for a music box to be integrated into a crocheted animal.
The Original handle was just to massive to place it unobtrusively or hide within a crocheted part.

It is shaped like the alpaca tail it is supposed to sit in and features a hole for the music boxes string, space for it's knot and two more holes to fixate it laterally inside the crocheted part so it won't rotate or come loose.
It is printed in polypropylene to be reasonably stiff, robust, washable and not to hard I case a child chews on ist. Please be careful when designing parts for little children.
I must admit it is a niche application for 3d printing but hey, maybe it's useful to someone or serves as an inspiration.
p.s.: the alpaca in question is featured in Kerry Lord's book Edward's Menagerie: The New Collection: 50 animal patterns to learn to crochet (just in case someone wants to know).
