Stellated Buckyball Model

This is a 60-element Buckyball model, easy to construct.

You will need :

• Super Glue
• Some 5mm Bamboo sticks.
• Soldering iron (at 205 degr. C.)
• Scalpel knife
• Electric wire

Instructions

• Print 60 elements (infill 15-20%, supports=yes).
  
• Use a 5mm drill bit to clear the holes on the 3 triangular sides/legs.
• Cut a handfull of 5mm diameter bamboo sticks (12-15mm long) and insert them in the legs.
• Assemble 5 elements (keep the triangular leg with the vertical line pointing outward) with or without glue into a module.
• You can "solder" the 5 elements by slowly tracing the seam between the elements.
• When 12 rings with 5 elements have been assembled, construct the buckyball - it will be about 35cm in diameter.
• Keep the modules together with some electrical wire while assembling the modules.
• Glue the connections held together with the wires and remove the wires one by one.
