Conforms with low-profile SBS dimensions. The openings are 5x5x1 mm, leaving enough space for tape to stick on both sides and annotations/markings. Stackable with itself and all commercial plates I had around.
The colored labels are totally optional, but the print really does require supports. Be advised that regular supports will be hard to remove here and not leave a smooth underside. I recommend soluble support material, or printing it from PETG with PLA supports (as shown). In the latter case you can just use provided custom supports with the following changes to print settings:
- set wipe tower extruder to PETG tool
- create&save a profile for support PLA with adjusted bed temp = PETG bed temp
- activate interface shells (!!!)
- for supports: no bottom layer, 2-3 top layers, 15% grid infill
After the print, jam a knife between the support material and print, it should easily part.
The included .3mf file (for Prusa XL and two plates per print) has all these settings and is set up for PETG in tool 1 (frame), PETG in tool 2 (labels) and PLA in tool 5 (supports).
I'd be happy to see any mods for this, always looking for inspiration.
