The Smart Feeder consists of a chute section that delivers food into the bowl. On top of this is the main body with a compartment for the food dose, featuring a falling floor mechanism. A servo motor and electronics are placed in the adjacent section. Optionally, multiple main body sections can be stacked on top of each other (the model is modular) for repeated feeding. Finally, a lid is placed on top.
Assemble the feeder using the provided images and photos for guidance. Included wiring diagram shows how to connect one or two servo motors for extended functionality. You can use PWM pins D3, D5, D6, D9 or D10 on the Arduino Nano. The lowest positioned servo motor should be connected to D3. However, you will most likely use only one servo motor.
The code with explanatory comments is included. A negative time value means that there is no servo motor at that position. You also need to set the pin number each motor is connected to. Finally, you have to define the start and end positions (angles), which are shared by all motors.
