My buddy's landscape lights kept shredding the original spike that keeps them in the dirt, so I remade the original one a little more beefy.

The fitting is ½" NPT, so I just made a plus sign shape with a gap for the cord.  Pretty straight forward.  He said he breaks these all the time so I might be making more…
