I recently bought a G1W dash camera and was immediately dissatisfied with the included suction mount. It was too large, too visible and prevented me from mounting the camera completely behind the mirror.

This simple mount is under half the height of the suction mount, allowing the camera to be mounted more discreetly.

This new mount is assembled with a #6 screw, two washers and a nyloc nut. Use doubled sided tape (3M 1" VHB suggested) to adhere to your windshield.

Paint black or wrap in electrical tape for extra stealth.
