Cute little handle for 4mm hex bits!
This design can be integrated with Gridfinity 4mm Hex Bit Holder.
Variants
-
Plain - A simple bit holder without additional hardware.
-
Magnet - A bit holder with a 6x3mm magnet! Please refer to Printing Magnet Variant.
Printing

Print with the head facing down.
-
Adjust horizontal expansion properly to derive the best tolerance.
-
Perimeters ✅ - 4 walls
-
Infill ✅ - Cubic 30%
-

-
Brim 🤔 - Use only if bed adhesion is bad.
Magnet Variant
To enclose the 6x3mm magnet inside the model, you have to pause the print and insert it.
You can achieve automatic pause by inserting PAUSE command into G-code at a specific layer!
Pausing in Cura
-
Slice the model.
-
Using preview, check the layer just before the magnet is covered.
-
Go to Extensions > Post Processing > Modify G-code.
-
Click Add Script, and Insert at Layer Change.
-
Set How often to insert to "One insertion only".
Set Layer # for Single Insertion to the layer number you identified in step 2.
Set G-code to insert to "PAUSE".
-
Now re-slice, and you're done 🎉
Printer will pause during the print. Then, insert the magnet and resume.
Pausing in other slicers
Sorry I've never used other slicers 💀
