DIY Timegrapher
This DIY Timegrapher is a 3D-printable project designed to analyze the performance of mechanical watches. Using a piezoelectric ceramic buzzer and an LM386 audio amplifier, it captures the ticking sound of a watch, which can then be analyzed using the open-source software TG (https://tg.ciovil.li/).
Required Components: (Everything available from Aliexpress)
Wiring Instructions:
Connect the piezoelectric buzzer – One wire to GND, the other to the AUDIO IN of the LM386 module.
AUX cable connection – Connect the signal wire (tip of the AUX plug) to the AUDIO OUT of the LM386 module. The ground wire (sleeve of the AUX plug) goes to GND.
Powering the module – Connect VCC (usually 5V) and GND from a USB cable to the LM386 module.
